The long-awaited signing of Riccardo Orsolini’s contract extension has finally been inked on paper, as the 26-year-old winger extends his stay in Emilia-Romagna for a further two years. Orsolini was linked to a number of clubs, including Sassuolo, Lazio, Napoli, and even Premier League side Fulham, but has chosen to extend his Bologna allegiance instead.

“Bologna FC 1909 is delighted to announce that Riccardo Orsolini has signed a new contract with the club lasting until 30 June 2027,” revealed an official club statement. He will also earn marginally more, bagging €2M net per season.
The summer transfer market earlier forced Orsolini to consider his options amid long-drawn talks with the Rossoblù management to extend his contract. However, all speculations of an exit have been put to bed with the new contract.
The Ascoli academy graduate is presently in his fifth season running at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. He has 36 goals in 139 appearances for Bologna, establishing himself as a fan favorite.
