Inter youth product Wilfried Gnonto could soon leave Leeds United following the club’s relegation from the Premier League on the penultimate matchday. Despite investments in the transfer market, including the acquisition of Gnonto, Leeds will end the top-flight season in 19th position, which means they are expected to part ways with a host of players.
Among them is Juventus target Gnonto. According to latest reports emerging from Italy and England, Gnonto does not lack suitors in the transfer market. Fiorentina, Sassuolo and Roma have all reportedly enquired for the 20-year-old striker, who was recently picked by Roberto Mancini for Italy’s UEFA Nations League double-header next month.

The prospect of returning to his homeland and featuring in the Italian top-flight might be hard to turn down for the young forward, but so is the opportunity to star at one of England’s big guns.
Manchester City and Arsenal have reportedly taken great interest in the Verbania-born Italy international. Leeds bought Gnonto for a steal deal of approximately €5m from FC Zurich, and while he had a positive debut season in one of Europe’s top-five leagues, Leeds’ inability to secure safety from relegation means they will have to sell many of their players, including the promising forward.
