Milan Outcast Messias Closes in on Torino Transfer

Junior Messias is close to leaving Milan, having been transfer listed following a considerable list of arrivals at the club. The Brazilian midfielder recently reflected on his incredible journey from the fifth level of Italian football to heights of calcio success. He is now expected to leave the seven-time European champions.

According to latest information emerging from Italy via La Repubblica, both Torino and Bologna are in talks with Milan over the signing of Messias, who is presently valued at €10M. Of the two, it is the Granata who are in advanced negotiations, reportedly tabling a €8M offer.

Meanwhile, the Rossoblu are evaluating the prospect of signing Messias to succeed Nicolas Dominguez and/or Riccardo Orsolini, with the former being linked with a move to Milan.

With just one year remaining on his Milan contract, the Rossoneri management want to see the departure of Messias earn them some money, instead of seeing him leave on a Bosman transfer at the end of next season. An unexpected signing at first, the ex-Crotone winger excelled better than expected at San Siro, registering 12 goals in 68 appearances for the club. Messias also played his part in Stefano Pioli’s 2021/22 Scudetto-winning squad.

Torino and Bologna are also in the race to sign Hellas Verona wingback Josh Doig.
