Roma Set Sights on Leizpig Defender Klostermann

Mourinho shows the intention of addressing the lack of depth within the back-line as Roma set their sight sights on Leizpig defender Lukas Klostermann.

After a recent fallout with Dutchman Rick Karsdorp following their match against Sassuolo, it could very much be that the 27 year-old wing-back parts ways with the capital club after supposedly being called out for “betraying his team” within the post-match conference.

Consequently, the Giallorossi have identified their ideal target to fill the void within the squad. According to reports LaRoma24, Mourinho’s side are assessing the situation to see if they can plot a move for the Bundesliga outfit defender following the international break.

So far this season, the 26 year-old has only made one appearance across all competitions due to injury. However, Hansi Flick has selected the defensive minded player within Germany’s 26-man roster ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

With the German international possessing versatility to play center-back and along the flanks as a wing-back, there is no doubt that Klostermann is a valuable asset that can play a vital role for Mourinho wihin his 3-4-2-1 system.
