Sassuolo Exec and Top Midfielder Discuss Summer Move

Davide Frattesi will be a wanted man in the summer, and Sassuolo are set to receive a host of offers and register another massive profit. Director Giovanni Carnevali commented on his star after a recent League assembly and before their latest Serie A game (via SportMediaset).

“The requests are plenty. I wouldn’t be surprised to get some from abroad too. We haven’t decided his price tag yet, but it will be worthy of a top player.”

Despite the execs’ words and potentially larger bids from foreign sides, Frattesi alluded that he’d like to stay in Italy talking to the press after accepting the Giacomo Bulgarelli award (via Rai).

“I want to finish strong with Sassuolo, and then we’ll see. I promised the officials I wouldn’t talk about the transfer market, and I want to keep my word. Throughout my career, I’ve always taken it step by step. I’m at a good level now, and the rest will come in the summer. The interest from other sides is pleasing. I would be a liar to say otherwise.”

“I haven’t fully thought about it, but the Premier League is an important championship. I’m fascinated by it for its intensity and hard-working culture. They see football in the same way I do. However, you have to be 100 percent ready and prepared. I think it would be right for me to make another step before going there. However, you never know in life and in football.”

Frattesi is keeping in touch with Gianluca Scamacca.

“He was unlucky this year, but I’m convinced he’ll do as well as he has done at Sassuolo next season.”
