Sassuolo Not Budging on Bids for Scamacca and Frattesi

Sassuolo have received strong offers for Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi. However, they have not lowered their considerable price tags and rebuffed multiple efforts from the suitors. West Ham and PSG are dueling for the striker. Instead, Roma are after the midfielder. Milan also inquired Thursday.

As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the Irons and the French side tendered €35M, while the Neroverdi ask for €45M. The Premier League outfit is also pursuing Chelsea’s Armando Broja, whom they are trying to get on a permanent deal. The Parisians just signed youngster Hugo Ekitike in the same role. Still, the contacts between his agent Alessandro Lucci and the two contenders have been frequent to try to improve their proposals.

Scamacca has been spared from the first Sassuolo friendlies to avoid injuries, while Frattesi has featured regularly. The Giallorossi vigorously attempted to bring back their youth product. Though, they could not come to terms on his valuation. They seem to have moved to other targets.

Coach Alessio Dionisi commented after the pre-season match against SudTirol (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“I hope the transfer market closes soon, so there is less chatter about it. It would be way easier to work if there were not any departures. Otherwise, we will make do. I do my job, while the director take care of theirs. Then, we have to find the right chemistry within the squad.”

Our Take on Sassuolo, Scamacca and Frattesi

The Neroverdi are famous for being hard bargainers, but they are really outdoing themselves this summer. The bids they received were more than respectable. Chances are the attacker will indeed leave, as they have already prepared for it. But that will probably be it if the sum is enormous, as they are shooting for.
