Zielinski Set to Ignore Juventus’ Giuntoli Advances Come Winter

Cristiano Giuntoli was one of the reasons why Napoli succeeded in luring midfield staple Piotr Zielinski from Udinese back in 2016. And now the Juventus sporting director is eager to bring him to Turin, with the club in dire need of central midfielders after the recent scandals surrounding Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

As per Radio Marte (via Tuttomercatoweb), contact has taken place between Giuntoli and the agent of the Napoli midfielder, Bartolomej Bolek. However, Zielinski himself is reportedly disinterested in leaving Naples anytime soon, given his importance within the squad, despite the burgeoning interest in his services.

Lazio’s interest in Zielinski has been widely documented over the course of the previous summer window, and Juventus now seem to have joined the race. However, talks have already taken place between Zielinski and Aurelio De Laurentiis over a contract renewal, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season in June 2024.

Zielinski rebuffed repeated offers from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ahli two months ago, instead opting to stay put at Napoli for lower pay – a decision that has earned him plaudits.

Our Take on the Zielinski saga

The Polish midfielder truly embodies affection to the colors he currently dons. It will not be surprising to see him etch an extended legacy in Napoli, forcing the likes of Lazio and Juventus to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
